Woh...Went out after work today AGAIN. Now i'm looking forward to heading straight "home" after work tomorrow to slack. I'm kinda tired from going out.
Today's invitation to dinner came unexpectedly. Didnt expect WonG to be so efficient (Definitely for the first time!) and get his bro to come down to the office today and pass me the MONEY he promised to fork out I have got more than
10 000 baht in my wallet now! Gosh!~ Feels scary... I suddenly feel like i may be robbed, although i've been sorta convinced that bkk is quite safe after all these while. Tomorow's thursday, and i need not work on this coming saturday, which means i'm merely two more days to the weekends! HooRaY! Gonna jio everyone (Satjapong, Pauling [Pong's gf] and Gab [Wong's bro]) to JJ Market! Sigh~ I'm soooooo afraid i'll overspend, since i have THISSSSSSSSSSS much with me now.
Hmmm...Maybe i should really give myself a budget and only bring a certain amount of money out with me! You know, people's concepts of "expensive" and "cheap" are always blurred when they're overseas, simply because the dollar notes look too different to "feel" like money. LOL~
Ate Thai's version of wanton mee for lunch today. The wanton's very similar, except for the usual fact that it's bloody salty. Did i mention that thai food is generally very salty??? Given that even I, the salt-eater, find it salty, i'm sure it'll be way toooooo salty for most singaporeans. The different but i-suppose-would-be-welcoming thing about thai's wanton mee is... ...*drum rolls*[as usual]... is that IT CONTAINS SHREDS OF CRAB MEAT. REAL crab meat i mean, NOT crabsticks. And i stupidly thought those were fish meat. Luckily i habitually asked Satjapong if the food contains seafood. Else, i may be lying in some "lok kok" hospital now, with an oxygen tank beside me!!!
Another escape from disaster! I'm HeNg!
So, besides passing me that 10k baht, Gab invited me to dinner with his mum. He said his mum would fetch us at 530, so given that that i always put my lab top back in my apartment before leaving for town, i asked for Satjapong's permission to leave the office earlier so that i may be in time for the appointment with WonG's mum. Obviously, he said "OKAY!" damn willingly. HaHa~ This is the good thing and extra nice treatment i have for being WoNg's friend!!! Did i also mention that WonG's dad is the BIG boss of the listed company i'm working in? WaHahA! Anyway, i guess most people in the office know me as "the boss's eldest son's friend" rather than "Kat". Sad? NO! It feels great! How great it is to be able to PULL this kinda string man!
At work, i did some serious programming today. Because i faced a fucking huge technical challenge and was totally on my own, time passed freaking fast as i tried ways and means to achieve the functionalities my application is supposed to have. And of cos, as YOU would have expected, i'm on my way to SUCCESS! Things are more or less on the right track and i'm sooooooo proud of myself! When system functions in most industrial projects are priced at thousands per function and take about 2 weeks to complete one, i actually managed to semi-solve one within 8 hours! WaHaHa!
Pics are next>>>

Random pic taken along the roadside while i was out smoking during office hours~

Pigeon trying to cross the damn road! WaHahA...

Sunset in BKK. On my way to town to meet jeremy and PInKy [his gf]. On Satjapong's company "van".

Another random pic of a TuK tuK on the road.

SiAm ParaGon! BKK's latest SUPER high-end shopping centre housing GuccI, PraDa, HermEs etc etc.Jeremy said one Hermes bag can cost 30 000SGD! Some series are even strictly "by invitation" only! You may not even get it when you have money arz! This pic shows the "smoking area" - an open space at the 2nd floor.

WanTon Soup that i ordered along with my mee. The usual veggies! YuCks!~

My half-eaten wanton mee. Hee~ Almost forgot to take this pic cos i was busy enjoying the food. It comes with wanton, soy sauce [not ketchup or chilli by default], sesame oil, char siew and surprisingly, roasted meat.

A nice snack i bought along the roadside today. SUPER NICE! It comes with those thin "po pia" skin, and you're supposed to wrap some "candy floss" within the skin, then roll it up and eat it! SupEr sweeT! So super nice lor~

Colourful as well! 3 different colours of "candy floss". [The so-called "candy floss" is not exactly "candy floss" like those pasar malams in SG offer. It's hardened sugar i think.]

LooKs like i've wrapped VEGGIE in po pia skin! Look carefully! It's SUGAR "STRIPS"!

One night market that GaB brought me to. Cant remember its thai name anymore unfortunately. This structure is just like a gateway which you walk through. The night market is like a mini-JJ market, and according to GaB, the goods are priced slightly higher than those you may find at JJ market. Saw sooo many things i want to buy back for everyone, but i shall take a look at JJ market first!

YeT another sunset pic. I think it's @ Rayong.
